KNIFE CRIME & MOTHERS CRY

Mark delivers a 40 minutes workshop on the dangers of the knife crime and the effects it has had on him after seeing one of his friends knifed to death. 

Mark was sentenced to 7 years in prison for a knife crime himself and losing an eye after being stabbed in the face and neck.

There is also a live interview with Marks mum on how knife crime affected her and the family.

TRAUMA-TIED is a hour long screen play that shows Marks life growing up in inner city Manchester and the trauma he suffered as a child through the domestic and sexual abuse.

TRAUMA-TIED takes you on a journey of how Mark went looking for the love he didn't receive at home, so ended up in gangs and on drugs.

TRAUMA-TIED is delivered through the use of live poetry, videos and music.

 There is also a live interview with Marks mum and how knife crime affected her and the family.

At the end the class get to dissect one of Marks poems and then even write there own as we discover what is going on in there world.

Within this workshop we bring the young people to the understanding that we do believe in them and that CONFIDENCE can be identified in a number of ways.

As we unpick the decisions not just we have made, but also people within the public eye we learn and discover that some off the choices, we have made in our past do not mirror one of SELF RESPECT.

If we don't SPEAK OUT we don't exists.

We will teach that there is many different ways to communicate and be heard as the young people learn they do have a voice, and their voice is just as important as the person next to them.

We show the young people what RESPONSIBILITY looks like when making decisions that will not just affect their lives but also the world around them.

Within this workshop we will demonstrate through Sand and Sound that as we change the frequency in our lives we change the pattern that our actions create.   

 As we investigate possible outcomes to the daily choices we make.
